Psalm 100 from The Psalms of David in Metre,
a Scottish translation in metre for singing:
Used throughout the English speaking world
as a hymn which speaks of God's love,
of our deepest belief,
of God's invitation to us to participate in His
wonderful will for all creation and to enter His
community of love in this life and the next,
and, of our reaction to the divine invitation,
to come in gladness and joy to participate
in all that He has in store for those who love Him.
Psalm 100:1 All people that on earth do dwell...
This verse speaks of the inclusive will of God
and the inclusive love of God.
Anything less than total unity-- in love--by all mankind
falls short of God's hopes for us!
Psalm 100: 5 For why? the Lord our God is good
His mercy is forever sure,
His truth at all times firmly stood
and shall from age to age endure.
Psalm 106:1 Give thanks to the LORD,
for He is good,
His love endures forever.
